ISEC Awarded $1.9 Million for ISE-6 (Enabling Shipyard Interoperability) Project
NSRP ASE awarded the Integrated Shipbuilding Environment Consortium (ISEC) $1.9 Million over two years to further develop ISE Interoperability Modules in the area of Product Life Cycle Support. This award is matched by ISEC's cost share offering of $1.9 Million. ISE-6 will further add to the interoperability toolset this team has developed, and will also support the Navy Product Data Initiative (NPDI).

ISE Team to Work with Navy Product Data Initiative (NPDI)
The Navy Product Data Initiative (NPDI) is creating an IPDE specification that will establish the minimum system requirements needed to support the digital design and subsequent construction of US Navy ships. The ISE Team will lend its expertise and participate in the NPDI effort.

ISE-5 Final Demonstration Held
The Integrated Shipbuilding Environment Consortium (ISEC) hosted a final demonstration of its Phase 5 Project (ISE-5) in Biloxi, MS immediately after the ShipTech Conference in January 2007. The demonstration focused on exchanges involving electrotechnical data, both in text and geometric formats.

Upcoming Events to Feature Interoperability Presentations
Presentations showing the development of interoperability tools by the Integrated Shipbuilding Environment Consortium (ISEC) are planned for the coming months. These include presentations and papers at International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding (ICCAS) in September 2007 in Portsmouth, UK; Ship Production Symposium (SPS) in November 2007 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; ShipTech 2008 in Biloxi, MS in January 2008.
